A woman is suing the DJ and producer Diplo for sexual battery, a civil suit claims.
Nicole “Nyx” Cassidy, who has worked as a model and a dancer for some of the world’s top dance music artists, claims that Diplo gave her the sexually transmitted disease Herpes Simplex I and that she found out when she had a threesome with another woman and a married man.
The singer said she believes her ex’s sexual conduct was grounds for an “investigation and civil action against him for assault, battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress,” according to the complaint filed in New York Supreme Court on Tuesday.
A representative for Diplo did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Diplo, whose real name is Thomas Wesley Pentz, works as a co-producer and often performs as a DJ. He helped launch Swedish House Mafia, one of the biggest international dance music acts of the last decade.
Nyx and two of her friends had a sexual encounter with Diplo, another woman and her husband on 24 July, 2016, according to court documents.
The complaint includes two images of Cassidy and her friends with gunshot wounds.
Nyx is suing both Diplo and his wife, model Amanda Cerny, and they are also named as defendants in the suit.
