A source tells Vanity Fair that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly paid $15 million as a “concessional advance” for his forthcoming book, but it might not be until after the upcoming wedding that the Windsors know which family drama Prince William and Kate Middleton had to bare.

First reported by Vanity Fair and further elaborated on by The Sun’s insiders, the move certainly gives Harry and Meghan some breathing room. Nevermind that the couple are probably engaged, planning their wedding, attending Middletons-approved film festivals and flitting between their respective countries of residence: $15 million is, of course, a whopping sum to be paid for a tell-all. Harry and Meghan were reportedly fired up by the amount, given their blissful relationship (yes, they actually say blissful). This could be an attempt to reinstate Princess Diana into the spotlight.
“I think Harry genuinely feels hurt that no one is celebrating the deep love and connection he has with Meghan, but instead people are obsessed with his family,” an insider told Vanity Fair. “He wants to use this book to level with people and set the record straight.
“He thinks it is about time William and Kate’s life settled down a bit and that Meghan helps them ease into being a family. It has been hugely frustrating to have his love life put under such scrutiny and he is fed up being forced to play the role of the in-house family spokesman,” the source continued. “Him and Meghan have spent a lot of time working out what they want their first official public appearance to be like.”
So what’s in store? “Prince Harry has been thinking about it for a long time, but it has got to the point now where he is really ready to write this book,” an insider told The Sun. “Prince Harry has written an outline of what it will be about. The book has just to the talking points, Harry can’t put a word or phrase in without consulting his wife first.”
